Why PAKCon? 

Since we’re an operational VC, knowledge sharing is one of our fundamental values. Indeed, it’s our business to share knowledge with our portfolio companies. But each of these companies has built their own treasure chest of knowledge too. So we thought, “why not create an event where everyone can share their nuggets of wisdom”? That’s how the Project A Knowledge Conference was born. PAKCon was launched in 2018 and was so successful that we decided to keep going.s some text inside of a div block.

When is PAKCon happening and how long is it? 

PAKCon 2021 takes place on Friday October 8th and will run online from 10am to 6pm and on-site from 10 am to 12 pm Berlin time.For session times, see the agenda on our website and in the online event platform Swapcard. You can configure the times to display in your local time zone or in Berlin time.

Why should I attend? 

If you’re trying to build a start-up or drive digital transformation in your company, there’s a lot you can learn. We’ll have speakers from both new and more traditional companies. What do they have in common? Each one is striving to be a modern digital enterprise that uses data to think one step ahead. No matter what department you work in, we’ll have experts to inspire you. You'll get insights on areas such as marketing, development, sales, communications, recruiting and data science plus much more.

Who else is coming? 

All of the Project A team will be there as well as employees from our portfolio companies. There will also be leading figures from the international investment community and the German start-up scene. And of course all of our fantastic speakers and sponsors.

Before the event

Who can attend and how can I get a ticket? 

In principle, anyone can attend. It’s more important for our attendees to have related interests and professional backgrounds. This is why we ask you to apply for a ticket. It gives us the chance to ensure that each attendee will get something out of the conference.
To request a ticket, fill out the ticket application form and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
To give us enough time to process your application, please apply by September 1st.

Where can I find information about talks and speakers? 

To find out what’s happening and when, check out the official program.

Will there be talks in any other language besides English? 

No, all presentations will be in English only.

Where will the event take place? 

This year’s PAKCon is a hybrid event. The program includes on-site sessions which will take place at the event location Von Greifswald (Lilli-Henoch-Straße 10, 10405 Berlin). The online part of the program will be hosted in the Swapcard platform. You can access the platform from a browser on your desktop or smartphone. There’s also a mobile app for PAKCon 2021. In addition, we’ll also use Butter and Zoom for workshops and round tables.

How many people will attend PAKCon21? 

Depending on the Covid situation, we’ll release 200 - 500 on-site tickets. Around 5000 attendees will be able to join us online.

Will the program be the same online and on-site?

Yes and no. The majority of the conference will consist of remote sessions. For our on-site participants we’ll set up a streaming lounge to enable them to view these remote sessions. But there will also be several sessions held on-site, which our online audiences will be able to stream live wherever they are. There are however a few exclusive round table formats and other (on-site) side events which are only accessible via invite.
We'll also connect online and on-site audiences through collaboration platforms and mobile apps. In this way, on-site guests will be able to access the full conference program and network with the online audience.

Can I still apply for a speaker slot?

Yes, definitely! If you’re interested in speaking, please fill out the speaker application form and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
To give us enough time to process your application, please apply by August 1st.

How do I join the talent lounge?

You can get access to this channel during the ticket registration process. When you fill out the ticket application form, be sure to indicate you want to be interviewed. You will get an email, where you can share your profile with our recruiters. After we check your details, we’ll get in touch and assign you a time slot. When it’s your turn to be interviewed, you can access the channel.

Can I still apply to become a sponsor or partner?

Yes, there’s still time to join as an event sponsor. If you would like to become a partner or sponsor, please contact jane.lypovska@project-a.com.

During the event

How do I access the event?

We’ll send you instructions and links once we’ve approved your on-site or online invite.

How do I interact with the speakers and ask questions?

Each talk or session will have its own chat room where you can ask questions and make comments throughout the talk. If you would like to continue a conversation with the speaker after the talk, you can request a meeting in the networking area.

How can I network with other attendees?

Just because it’s a virtual event, doesn’t mean you can’t network. There are a few ways to connect with other attendees. We’ll send you all the details closer to the event.

Is there a code of conduct for this event?

Yes. A conference is also a community so it’s important to create a safe environment so that everyone feels comfortable participating in discussions — even when they’re virtual. Come back later for more info.

How do I report a code of conduct issue?

If you feel like someone is acting inappropriately in any of our communication channels, please don’t hesitate to contact our event staff at knowledge-conference@project-a.com. Don’t worry, we’ll be keeping a constant eye on the inbox so we’ll see your email within minutes.

How do I get help with a technical issue?

You’ll find more information by visiting the help center of the online event platform. We’ll also be by your side with a dedicated support team, which you’ll be able to reach via chat. Check back in later for an updated answer.

What details can other attendees see about me?

It’s up to you to define how much you want to disclose. To access the event, you need to create a Swapcard account where you can add your professional information. There you’ll be able to edit your profile and define which type of information you’d like to share with other attendees.

Who else has access to the attendee details?

Project A, Swapcard and some of our partners have access to the details that you provided when you applied for a ticket and created a profile in the app. To find out more about how these details are used, see the PAKCon privacy policy.

After the event

Will I be able to watch the presentations after the event?

Yes, we’ll be making the talks available through our Social Media channels and the event platform.

How can I leave feedback about the event?
