When in your career have you valued dissent the most?

Pretty much in the beginning of my career as a founder, I received some dissent from employees. Specifically, I received dissent on how goals are formed and how to build and maintain motivation. This dissent got me thinking about my new role as founder and the need to rethink my responsiblities, behaviors and views on certain topics. This made me a better founder and person.
