Dagmar has been Managing Director, Market Manager, and part of the leadership team at SVB Germany since June 2022. She started her career in Investment Banking in the mid-eighties at First Boston in New York and continued with CSFB in London and Milan. In the late nineties, she built Selftrade Italy, an online brokerage company originally founded by former colleagues in France. She rejoined CSFB in Frankfurt in 2004 and was the Head of Rabobank Germany from 2006 to 2011. Since then, she has been a founder, advisor, turnaround manager, angel, and VC investor in over 30 startups and a board member in various private and publicly traded companies. She has lived through several severe and bitter “crashes” from the 1987 Black October to the Dotcom crash in 2000 and, of course, the severe financial crisis in 2007/08.
