Katya is leading the World Economic Forum’s Global Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship, focusing on building an engaged ecosystem of private and public sector leaders who support the social innovation movement. One key initiative Alliance is driving on the humanitarian agenda is building a platform to support investments in the new economic model for Ukraine based on the social economy and concept of inclusive businesses with impact. Katya’s prior experience spans strategy consulting, public-private partnership building, and social entrepreneurship advisory. As Head of the ILO’s Global Business Network and advisor to UNICEF’s leadership, she has worked extensively on transforming how the private sector cooperates with multilateral organizations. To build on this, she has worked closely with several INGOs and social entrepreneurship communities across the Middle East and EU on innovative value-added partnership models. She is an alumna of the Accenture strategy consulting team and worked in Kenya, Russia, Kazakhstan, UAE, the UK, Switzerland, and the US. Katya holds a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology and an MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University in New York, where she focused on the transition from MDGs to the SDGs, including creating an investment case for businesses to invest in sustainability agenda.
