Benedikt Sauter is a founder by nature. After studying computer science, he and his wife Claudia started their first company to manufacture hardware for the Internet of Things and sell it via their online shop. Experiencing the pains of a growing online shop firsthand, Sauter realized early on that the outdated structures of classic business software (ERP) were not suitable for the needs of e-commerce startups. He decided to use his expertise to develop an innovative business operations solution himself, thus laying the foundation for the success of numerous other e-commerce companies. Pivoting towards SaaS, Sauter now steers the growth of his business software scaleup Xentral, which has already grown to over 200 employees globally. Xentral helps small and medium-sized companies automate and simplify their day-to-day operations from order management to accounting.
