What convention in your discipline are you disagreeing with at the moment?

Today, marketing is all about optimizing things: new processes, new structures and the automation of services. But the most critical issue is a rare topic. The unsatisfactory role of marketing within companies and the limited understanding of the discipline itself. Marketing is a mindset. From my POV it should by closely integrated with most departments, but isn’t.
