As a professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, René coordinates ESCP's European Jean-Baptiste Say Institute and is the academic director of the specialized Executive Master in Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership (EMDIEL).

René has a strong interest in the didactics of entrepreneurship. His area of expertise is decision-making under uncertainty.

He publishes in top-tier academic journals with a growing interest in design science.
